Mt. Kirkjufell. Often said to the most photographed mountain in Iceland. Is it because it was used as a backdrop in a scene in Game of Thrones? Well, that might be a factor, but just look at this oddly shaped mountain carved to this peculiar shape by the ice age glacier. Beautiful isn’t it?
Add to that that it is conveniently located just beside the main road around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and you have a winner.
